Alice is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist who started with AEP in 2013. Alice has a unique skill set with previous employment as both an exercise physiologist and in vocational rehabilitation as a case manager. She approaches all clients with a smile and with a passion for teaching, finds enjoyment in providing each individual with the quality skills and knowledge required to create an understanding as to ‘how’ and ‘why’ an exercise is prescribed, giving relevance and importance to their exercise program. Alice provides treatment with a holistic attitude and aspires to implement SMART goals to achieve results. 
Alice has special interest in treating patients with chronic conditions, assisting athletes in strength and conditioning for peak performance and in vocational rehabilitation, assisting those injured at work with their recovery.
Qualifications: ESSA Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP), Bach. App. Science (Human Movement & Health Studies), Graduate Diploma (Exercise Science), Senior First Aid & CPR.

 

I finished studying in 2011 however, have been working in the health and fitness industry since 2009. I have work as a strength and conditioning coach with the junior West Adelaide Football Club Teams, as well as trained Netball SA umpires for their pre season fitness. Whilst completing my Graduate Diploma in Clinical Exercise Physiology, after finishing my Bachelor of Applied Science and Human Movement Studies Degree, I worked as a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor as well as junior netball coach.

Before joining AEP Health Group in 2013 I worked as an Exercise Physiologist at the University of South Australia and tutored Resistance Training classes as well as Physical Rehabilitation Classes. I have also worked in Workplace Rehabilitation as a Rehabilitation Consultant aiding in the Return to Work of individuals who have injured themselves through their employment. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with a variety of clients of varying conditions including Musculoskeletal Injuries (Lower Back Pain), Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Osteoporosis, Asperger’s, Autism and Fibromyalgia. I also have a strong passion for working with children and adolescents.

With a love for Netball (currently playing Premier League), and anything sport, I enjoy the active lifestyle, and struggle to sit still. I enjoy walking my dog and spending time outside in the sunshine. I aspire to approach all clients with a smile and with a passion for teaching, I find enjoyment in providing each individual with the quality skills and knowledge required to create an understanding as to ‘how’ and ‘why’ an exercise is prescribed, giving relevance and importance to the exercise program. I believe in providing a holistic approach to treatment, implementing SMART goals to achieve results.
