Jarryd

Jarryd O'Donnell - Physiotherapist

Jarryd completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of South Australia in 2009. Web_Size_Jarryd_ODonnell_photo.jpgHe has since worked as a Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, in Private Practice for 6 years at Semaphore Road Physio.

During this time Jarryd worked with various sporting teams such as the Port Adelaide Cricket Club, Port Adelaide Hockey Club and the Flinders Park Football Club. Most notable was the work he performed for the South Australian Sports Institute (SASI) in 2010 while working with the Kayaking program in the lead up to the 2012 Olympics. He also worked with many elderly and chronic pain sufferers in Semaphore and the surrounding community.

Jarryd comes from a strong Manual Therapy and Exercise Prescription background, with Post Graduate training in DMA Clinical Pilates, and Strength & Conditioning Rehabilitation. He also has a certificate in Dry Needling.

Recently Jarryd returned from an extended hiatus in Vancouver, Canada, where he became involved in Professional Life Coaching for Student Executives at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Using these philosophies, in combination with sound clinical reasoning can assist clients to achieve optimal results from their injury rehabilitation.

On a personal level Jarryd is a keen footballer, having played at Woodville-West Torrens from 2004-2007 and then since as an A-Grade Captain at Amateur level for Flinders Park Football Club, culminating in two premierships and a ‘Best and Fairest’ Award... Although he is taking this year off playing to focus on other pursuits. He has also written and starred in some Amateur Comedy Movies during his University years, and perhaps there may be more to come in the future?
