Adelaide Exercise Physiology’s team of Accredited Exercise Physiologists have years of clinical rehabilitation experience. The teams past work experience in a hospital setting required involvement in patient rehabilitation treatment plans that were many and varied. Any patient requiring exercise therapy as part of their rehabilitative treatment can access AEP services. A referral from the patient’s treating medical practitioner is preferable to help the Exercise Physiologist gain greater insight into the patient’s personal needs.
Adelaide Exercise Physiology is Work Cover accredited to undertake rehabilitation (gymnasium) services. The difference between AEP and typical commercial gymnasiums is that all AEP staff are Accredited Exercise Physiologists ensuring they have relevant clinical experience. The clinic facility is custom built and set up specifically for rehabilitative purposes; ensuring patients can undertake their sessions in a comfortable and professional setting.
All assessments and personal one on one exercise sessions for WorkCover patients are quoted to case managers on an individual case basis. AEP encourage case managers to approve these sessions as they are crucial to ensure that safe and effective exercise is prescribed to the injured worker, while assessments allow progress of the injured worker to be effectively measured and reported back to case managers.
Gym memberships at AEP’s western clinic are also available to WorkCover patients after approval from their case manager is given.
