Prior to moving to Adelaide and starting my University studies in 2001, I completed a trade qualification and worked as a Fitter and Turner for nearly 10 years in my fathers engineering business in the Latrobe Valley in country Victoria.

Upon finishing my studies in 2004, I worked at the RAH’s Centre for Physical Activity in Ageing (CPAA)  for 2 years as an Exercise Physiologist, gaining a lot of valuable hands on practical experience. In 2006 I decided to enter the private sector in business partnership with a colleague from the CPAA, Chris Ftinogiannis.

We registered the trading name “Adelaide Exercise Physiology” (AEP) and set up our first clinic on Port Road in the heart of the western suburbs. Our goal was to provide quality personalised health services from private stand alone clinics to ensure all patients felt comfortable and at ease. This is something we believe we have achieved to date from all four of AEP’s clinic locations.

My role at AEP has changed a lot since we first opened the doors in 2006. The demands of running a growing business now restrict my work capacity as an Exercise Physiologist to approximately half time. I enjoy this time working with a broad range of clients with varying health needs, and have a special interest in diabetes management and weight management. The focus of my treatment is health education and strongly promote long term self management.

Personally, when young and bullet proof I enjoyed playing most sports before settling on triathlon for many years. With time restrictions of a young family, my attention turned to running and was lucky enough to run a sub 3 hour marathon before chronic injuries put a halt to this. I now enjoy bike riding, walking and general gym as means of keeping fit and socially love a hit of golf, watching my daughters play netball, home renovating and dining out with my wife and friends.
